About the position

Opportunity available in Rivonia for a Stock Controller/Admin for an Outdoor company. This role will assist in the day-to-day running as a Stock Controller for the store, with the ultimate purpose of maximising sales and profitability. This role will also be responsible for excellent stock-taking an administration in all aspects and representing the Company in a professional way by always being neat, well presented and well-spoken.
Requirements: 

  • Must have Matric
  • 3 years minimum experience in stock-taking and administration
  • Computer literate
  • Fully bilingual - AFRIKAANS non-negotiable as most of our clients and customers are Afrikaans (reading and writing)
  • Excellent attention to detail

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process and complete GRV packs
  • Book in transfers from other branches as well as extra stock received from suppliers.
  • Transfer stock to other branches
  • Ensure price changes have been implemented.
  • Complete RTS (Return to supplier) stock
  • Assist with SPO’s (Special orders of items we do not stock)
  • Label or tag stock items before stock are displayed.
  • Track shipments and address any delays.
  • Coordinate regular inventory audits
  • Complete daily reports
  • Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure stock are processed in thecorrect manner.
  • Utilize the company’s inventory software platform to check in products and compare deliveries to outstanding purchase orders.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks of the warehouse area and perform clean up or repair duties when needed.
  • Contact vendors regarding missing or damaged products.
  • Inspect the warehouse on a daily basis by ensuring all company procedures are being followed daily.
  • Perform monthly stock reconciliations of physical counts for all regional distributors and highlight variances to the operations department
  • Coordinate with warehouse team to implement and ensure a control system to reduce inventory obsolescence
  • Support accurate and timely reporting through ensuring all stock data is updated correctly
  • Manage and maintain the company’s material and stocked product inventory including stock profiles and stock locations
  • Manage and control perpetual inventory stock counting / inventory accuracy checks
  • Ensure incoming product is receipted and managed appropriately according to company procedure
  • Ensure integrity and accuracy of the stock management system
  • Manage control measures to ensure mistakes, inaccuracies and discrepancies are highlighted, addressed and resolved.
  • Assist with stock take.

Please note retail hours apply.
Mondays to Fridays - 08H30 – 18H00
- Saturdays - 08H30 – 15H00 (every other weekend)          
- Sundays - 09H30 – 13H00 (every other weekend)
