About the position
Our client, Carmién Tea, is seeking a vibrant Social & Content Manager to commence immediately. The position will entail leading Carmién Tea's integrated approach to social media, content, and PR strategies. Responsibilities include overseeing tasks such as copywriting, managing social media engagement, creating content, and leading PR initiatives. Additionally, the role involves gathering and organizing information, videos, and photos from various brand locations, engaging with online followers, ensuring brand-aligned communication, and delivering exceptional customer service. Collaboration with the marketing team to develop innovative digital and social media campaigns and continuously assessing their effectiveness will also be part of the duties. The focus will be on producing top-notch, inventive content, especially tailored for social media platforms.
The organization is based in Cape Town, offering remote work flexibility, with occasional travel to in-person meetings in and around Cape Town, as well as trips to the farm in Citrusdal.
Minimum Requirements:
- Degree in Marketing or relevant field
- 3-5 years of proven work experience as a social media manager
- Hands-on experience in content creation and management
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Detailed knowledge of current online tools, channels, and trends
- Advanced computer skills
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Photography and videography skills advantageous
- Own vehicle and a valid driver's licence
Duties and Responsibilities:
- General:
- Research current trends and audience preferences
- Design and implement social media and PR strategies aligned with business goals
- Set specific objectives and report on ROI
- Monitor SEO and web traffic metrics
- Collaborate with various teams to ensure brand consistency
- Suggest and implement features to enhance brand awareness
- Social Media Management:
- Plan monthly content calendars for all social media accounts
- Create weekly content and schedule posts on multiple platforms
- Oversee social media account designs
- Identify and manage key influencers/brand ambassadors
- Assist with collaborations and giveaways
- Stay updated on social media trends
- PR & Events:
- Assist Sales Manager at brand events
- Amplify events through social media channels
- Identify and manage key influencers/events aligned with marketing strategy
- Customer Service:
- Engage with followers, respond to queries, and monitor reviews
- Respond to product/brand queries on social media
- Build relationships with influencers, media, and audience
- Content Creation & Copywriting:
- Write copy for social media, blogs, websites, and marketing documents
- Capture live content from the Farm & Tea Shop
- Support photoshoots and create still/video content
Salary:
- R20,000 - R30,000 per month (based on experience and skill level)
Work Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00
- Occasional after-hours/weekend work for events or urgent queries
