About the position
Our client, a reputable business in the generator industry, is currently looking to hire a Payroll and HR Administrator to join their growing team based in Midrand, Johannesburg. In this role, you will provide month-to-month payroll and HR administrative support to the HR Department.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12, Matric
- HR/ Payroll qualification
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Payroll and HR Administration
- Intermediate to advance knowledge of Peopleware, Sage 300 People or VIP payroll systems
- Strong MS Office Suite experience (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Internet, E-mail)
- Good working knowledge of the SA Labour legislation, EE and Skills Development.
Main duties will include, but are not limited to:
Payroll Functions:
- Ensure accurate collation of payroll data, New Engagements, Terminations, Overtime, Increase and leave schedules.
- Capturing payroll data.
- Attend payroll queries from staff and management.
- Payroll month-end general ledger reconciliation reports, for medical aid, provident fund, union.
- Capturing all manual leave on Peopleware payroll system, updating, and reporting.
- Ensuring monthly PAYE (EMP201) returns accurate and correct.
- Good understanding of Payroll tax legislation and tax year end process for IRP5 update and distribution of IRP5's.
- Payroll Reports.
HR Administration
- Maintain and update personnel records
- Update internal databases (e.g. record all types of leave)
- Prepare HR documents, for employment contracts, transfer letters, promotion letters
- Coordinate onboarding process.
- Liaise with external service providers, medical aids, provident fund insurance, and ensure legal compliance.
- Coordinate recruitment.
- Any other Ad-hoc support to the HR team.
- Compile BBBEE file for verification.
- Coordinate EE committee meetings.
- Update training and development database.
- Update and submit States SA information.
