About the position

Role Description:

The role is to handle various financial tasks within an organization. Here are some common responsibilities and skills associated with this role:

Recording Transactions:

  • Records day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • They post these transactions to relevant accounts.

Reconciliation:

  • At the end of each month, the role is to reconcile sales taxes, payroll taxes, and bank accounts.
  • This process involves comparing records to ensure consistency and identifying any discrepancies

Financial Monitoring

  • Monitors financial transactions and generates reports.
  • Keep track of financial data to provide insights and identify trends.

Accounts Receivable and Payable

  • Work with Accounts Receivable Manager and Customers to ensure proper and timely collections of receivables and memo consignments billing and status
  • Work with Accounts Payable Manager and Vendors to ensure that invoices are correctly posted and provide monthly vendor payment/check run list to Partners for approval
  • Work with Invoicing and Shipping Dept to ensure that invoices are properly
  • generated and merchandise shipped according to company guidelines and policy

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Accounting Degree or Diploma
  • Minimum of 3+ years accounting experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Proficiency in Pastel
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented and ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Must be able to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work calmly and flexibly to respond to multiple competing business priorities
  • Self-motivated, detail and results oriented, focused and hard working
  • Good record keeping and organization skills
