About the position
DUR002108 – FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT – CAMPERDOWN
Purpose of the job
The ideal candidate will report directly to the Financial Manager and play a pivotal role in various financial functions. From fixed assets management to bank reconciliations and beyond, this role offers a diverse and rewarding set of responsibilities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Certified Accountant (CA) qualification – Preferred
Technical Competencies & Responsibilities
- At least 5 years’ experience in financial accounting.
- Completed articles.
- Proven experience in accounting roles, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Overseeing fixed assets and ensuring accurate records are maintained.
- Conducting bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
- Managing general ledger journals and reconciliations.
- Generating sustainability and statistics reports.
- Assisting with costing and budgeting processes.
- Supporting the Financial Manager in day-to-day tasks.
- Updating information on our cloud-based ERP software.
- Supervising and mentoring staff members.
