Financial Accountant

About the position

Ideal candidate requirements:

• Relevant Finance degree
• +5 years accounting experience
• +2 years Treasury, Capex, Fixed Asset management, Costing or Project Accounting experience.
• Financial/ MS Office Software Proficiency

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the full accounting function
• Reconciliation of the GL account
• Bank reconciliations and cashflow planning and management.
• Processing of cashbook, debtors, creditors, costing and revenue analysis.
• Reconciliations of the VAT account and import VAT account.
• Preparing monthly statutory returns such as VAT & PAYE.
• Preparation of Trial Balance / Compilation of management account statements.
• Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register.
• Prepare invoicing and intercompany account reconciliation tasks.
• Conduct monthly analysis and generate reports for projects, submitting them to the Finance Controller.
• Assist with budgeting processes.
• Efficiently manage information flow between finance & HOD operations.
• Assist in budgeting and financial aspects of the business / and projects.
• Maintain accurate records for all financial transactions of the business.
• Provide accounting information to support business performance.
