About the position

Purpose:

Listed on the NASDAQ Stock Exchange our client is a fast-growing, part of the Fintech Group, where an opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the team as a
Chief Operating Officer ("COO"). We're searching for a COO who has strong leadership
and commercial skills to complement the existing business management team.
The COO will lead our team of high-performing professionals to be efficient, productive,
and effective. The ideal candidate would have extensive experience within our industry,
preferably having worked their way up to an executive role.
The COO will oversee the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the
business, including the assessing of commercial opportunities, the implementation of
company strategies and the spearheading of new initiatives.

Objectives of this role:

? Collaborate with the CEO in setting and driving organizational vision, operations
strategy, and hiring levels.
? Performing sales analyses with a focus on long-term company growth.
? Assessing the company's position on the commercial market.
? Maintaining relationships with existing clients, partners, vendors, or distributors.
? Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities where applicable.
? Translate strategy into actionable steps for growth, implementing organization-
wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning.
? Oversee company operations and employee productivity, building a highly
inclusive culture that ensures team members can thrive and that organizational
goals are met.
? Ensure effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance
management, and retention.
? Ensure compliance with business regulations and take appropriate action when
necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities but not limited:

? Develop and execute operational strategies to drive business growth, efficiency,
and profitability.
? Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company but not limited to: Sales,
Deployments, Human Resources and Finance.
? Establish operational goals, metrics, and KPIs to measure performance and
monitor progress.
? Collaborate with other senior executives to align operational activities with
overall business objectives.
? Lead and mentor operational teams, providing guidance, direction, and support
to ensure optimal performance.
? Evaluate existing processes, systems, and workflows to identify opportunities for
improvement and optimization.
? Implement best practices, standards, and methodologies to streamline
operations and enhance productivity.
? Manage operational budgets, expenses, and resource allocation to maximize
efficiency and minimize costs.
? Participate in company financial reporting working together with the leadership
of the finance team.
? Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes to anticipate
challenges and opportunities.
? Lead organizational change initiatives, transformation projects, and business
process reengineering efforts.
? Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers,
suppliers, and partners.
? Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and
industry best practices.
? Resolve operational issues, challenges, and conflicts in a timely and effective
manner.
? Communicate operational performance, achievements, and challenges to senior
management and stakeholders.
? Drive a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational
excellence throughout the organization.
? Liaise and engage with the other Business Units leadership teams and
stakeholders and actively participate in Group Projects where assigned.

Inherent requirements:

? Good report-writing skills
? Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or
related field; MBA and or CA (SA) preferred.
? Proven experience in senior leadership roles.
? Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
? Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
? Experience developing and implementing operational strategies and initiatives.
? Demonstrated ability to drive business growth, efficiency, and profitability.
? Knowledge of business process optimization.
? Experience working in fintech industries will be highly advantageous.
? Financial acumen and budget management skills.
? Ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal and external
stakeholders.
? Adaptability and resilience in managing change and uncertainty.
? Commercial Operations experience from a sales and finance aspect.
? 5 or more years of experience in a similar role
