About the position
Are you a passionate leader with a deep understanding of internal auditing? We are a dynamic South African retailer seeking a Chief Internal Auditor to join our team! As a leader in the industry, we are looking for someone to manage our international internal audit function and ensure effective risk management, governance, and control processes.
- Qualified CA (SA) and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
- 10-12 years of experience in a similar role.
- 10 years of experience leading teams.
- Proficiency in international accounting standards.
- Evaluate governance processes, including ethics, and perform objective assessments of risk management and internal control frameworks.
- Systematically analyse and evaluate business processes and their associated controls.
- Provide an annual statement on the effectiveness of the company's governance, risk management, and control processes.
- Ensure the annual allocation of internal audit resources is based on approved risk-based audit plans.
- Review audit plans against the company's risk profile and propose adaptions to the audit committee for approval.
- Ensure compliance with the King recommendations.
