About the position

DUR002071LB – Bookkeeper - Prospecton

Purpose of the job:
To maintain proper financial controls, accounting and reporting for multiple companies.

Required Qualifications 

  • Matric
  • Accounting Degree or Advanced Diploma
  • Minimum of 5 Years Experience

Technical Competencies and responsibilities

  • Accurate accounting records in multiple jurisdictions and currencies.
  • Consistently apply proper internal and accounting policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Regulatory and Tax accounting, filing and compliance.
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting schedules.
  • Preparation of annual audit packs.
  • Preparation of annual budgets and reporting performance against budgets.
  • Providing financial insight and guidance to business unit managers and stakeholders as necessary and appropriate.

 
Behavioural Competencies:

  • Analytical skills, combined with the ability to present and explain information.
  • Attention to detail, and tenacity to follow through and complete tasks.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and concepts.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
  • Confidentiality and discretion.
  • Good IT skills, including Sage 300 ERP, Excel, Microsoft Office.
